There are two groupings in this category. Both evolved out of my 25-year journey creating wearable art. Inevitably, the surface design processes I’d used creating the unique and original fabrics which ended up as one-off garments carried over into the new phase, when my work came off the wall and onto the body. In the first group, natural fibers such as cotton, linen, hemp and canvas, are transformed by dyeing techniques. In the second, pure white silk is transformed by painting.
